Q1 Where can Members find more information about the Employment & Earnings Survey? We weren't aware of it (or rather we thought it was a WIOA thing, not a CAEP thing) and need guidance on it.

Q2 We are working on providing a medical assisting program through our local Community Colleges on our adult school's campus. Right now, the adult school is offering a program on their site run through a private school, which costs students close to $7,000 to go through. With the colleges providing the training, it will be a higher quality and more recognized certificate, but one of the concerns we have is the adult school being able to count the students for their WIOA reporting and the college district being able to count the students as well. Is this allowed? Another question - Could we schedule the courses to assist the adult school students with the program as concurrent enrollment courses or something along those lines?

In this case, the adult school could not count the students as the college would be providing the teacher on record.

Another option for consideration: The adult school could create additional programs, like contextualized ESL (IET), supportive services, counseling, intro to healthcare careers, workforce prep, ESL /ABE, citizenship, EL civics, etc. to assist with the students enrolling in Medical Assistant Program and count those students for ESL/ABE/ASE/IET/IELCE (WIOA II).

The term concurrent enrollment does not apply here as that pertains to high school students. If these are adults – over 18 – not enrolled at the high school, then yes, it would be appropriate to schedule courses (IET, IELCE, contextualized ESL, ABE/ASE, workforce prep, etc.) to assist those adult school students with the program as a co-enrolled student.
