Equity is about being fair and impartial with learners, partners, and the communities we serve. Programs aligned to this area may focus on methods for building cultural awareness and responsiveness, addressing equity in the classroom, addressing the achievement gap, or creating access, success, and transfer opportunities for historically disadvantage populations.

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) toolkit helps institutions develop strategies and actions to prioritize equity across campuses. The toolkit provides strategies that can be implemented as institutions introduce an equity mindset across the institution and align decision-making with equity goals at all levels. The toolkit also provides tools, resources, and guiding questions to support leaders in implementing and integrating an equity mindset systematically. Access the toolkit and identify ways the toolkit could be implemented in adult education.
