Program Overview

The North Coast Adult Education Consortium members aligned data collection and assessment.

The Challenge

With shared program services provided to adult learners, and the need to address adult learner’s complex lives, it can be challenging for members to accurately and consistently report and enter contact information, demographic, services rendered or needed, assessment and instruction updates.

The Solution

The North Coast Adult Education Consortium purchased CASAS, TOPSpro, LiteracyPro and technical equipment needed to align assessment and instruction across all members. The intent was to create a cohesive shared assessment, which would result in increased performance outcomes, data driven programming, and program cohesion among members.

The Outcome

All Member Districts are now aligned for assessment, data collection, data reporting, and data-driven programming. Data is collected and entered in a more consistent and accurate manner. This provides a “no wrong door approach” to an adult learner that might seek or need services from multiple consortium member agencies.

The Data

Data uploaded into a shared system is more accurate and is able to highlight the hard work of our adult learners and the staff members who support them. It will help keep up-to-date contact, demographics and outcomes of adults served, and allow members and partners to have a soft hand-off to one-another to increase adult learner’s success.
