California Adult Education Program

Building Partnerships that Count

Be Proud – California is Diverse. Just as our regional economies are diverse across California, so are the adult learners that live in, and contribute to, their communities. Because of this diversity, CAEP empowers 71 regional consortia to design innovations and best practices that align with the goals of adult learners; these innovations are in turn shared among consortium members and partner agencies, sparking a synergistic trading of ideas and a vibrant, growing body of knowledge.

The high quality programs and practices developed through the integration of K-12 adult education and community college resources on a regional level are uniquely suited to equip all available workers with the tools they need to contribute to California’s economic growth.

There are close to 400 CAEP members and more than 1,000 community partners within our 71 consortia that work synergistically through our multiple partner locations in every part of the state to create available access points for adult learners.
